Hammonton Fire Department Christmas Parade

"An Old Fashioned Christmas"

The annual Hammonton Fire Department Christmas Parade is Saturday, December 10th 2022 at 7:00pm. The general public is invited to view the parade on Bellevue Ave/Rt.54 from N. Liberty St. through Egg Harbor Road.

This year we will have a theme to the parade, the theme this year is "An Old Fashioned Christmas"

 

Information for Spectators

 

We are encouraging spectators to spread out between N. Liberty and Egg Harbor Road, filling in the space on both sides of the road along the entire parade route. Parking is available throughout the surrounding area including South Liberty, Valley, N 4th St., N. and S. Packard St., Tilton St., N. and S. 3rd St., Horton St., and N. & S. 2nd St. as well as in various municipal lots.

 

Information for Participants

 

Participating Fire Departments & Community Organizations should report to Hammonton Middle School (75 N. Liberty St.) at 6:00pm for lineup.

Trophies will be awarded in the following categories Best Decorated Fire Apparatus (1st-3rd), Best Decorated Non-Fire Apparatus or Float (1st-3rd), Judges Award (1st-3rd), *Best Musical Performance (1st-3rd), Farthest Traveled, and Best Decorated Downtown Hammonton Business (Must Be Along Parade Route)

 

All participating organizations receive a plaque for joining us, limit 1 per group.


Each participating apparatus, float, or group will pass the judge’s area for review. Judging will be done by local civic & community leaders

 

PLEASE, NO SANTA’S, ARRANGEMENTS HAVE ALREADY BEEN MADE!

Special Considerations

  • In an effort to keep the parade moving, there is to be no stopping for performances along the parade route. All musical and dance performances may ONLY stop in front of the judging area for a short performance.

  • No alcohol in the line of the march or at the registration area

  • NO THROWING CANDY, ETC. from moving vehicles. If you plan to give candy to the children, please hand it out in a fashion that promotes or encourages the public to remain off the roadway.

  • Following the parade, participants are invited to join us for the trophy presentation behind the judge’s stand on Bellevue and Central Avenues. Fire apparatus parking is available on Vine St.

Hammonton Fire Department Operation Santa

 

Santa has asked for our assistance! We will be escorting him as he visits the Town of Hammonton on select evenings in December. The town will be split into sections, with Santa visiting one section per evening. The routes will be shared on this page as well as on social media when finalized.

To ensure the safety of all involved we will not be distributing candy or making stops. We are unable to accommodate special requests

This year's event will occur on December 2nd, 4th, 16th, 17th, & 18th (make-up date) starting at approximately 5:30 p.m.

 

Residents are asked to follow all safety protocols when observing Santa. A special thank you to the members of both Hammonton Fire Company #1 and Hammonton Independent Volunteer Fire Co. 2 for supporting this event.
