Here is an opportunity to do something that will

Impact The Community.

Help make a difference!

It takes dedication and many hours of training to become a firefighter. If you're willing to put in the time and effort, the Hammonton Fire Department is ready for you to apply.

The Hammonton Fire Department is made up of two fire companies, perspective members may apply to either fire company for membership, and is based on an applicant’s preferences as well as geographic location.

You can find our members at your local fire houses on Front Street (Station 1) and the White Horse Pike (Station 2), every Wednesday evening for routine training, equipment & building maintenance, company business and department drills.

Please stop by and get to know the members; it may be one of the most rewarding things you do!

Junior firefighter programs give young people the chance to learn about local fire and rescue response organizations in a safe, controlled, educational, and fun way.

Benefits of the junior firefighter programs include:

  • Gaining insight and interest in becoming long-term members of the emergency services

  • Increasing awareness about volunteering and supporting local community organizations.

  • Providing additional help to the fire department in accomplishing non-firefighting or non-emergency tasks

  • Leadership development

Those aged 16 thru 18 are encouraged to submit an application. Parental consultation and approval required prior to acceptance.
